Funeral services celebrating the life of Linda A. Woolard, 83, of Newark, will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11 A.M., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with Deacon Patrick Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Linda, a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, passed away at The Ohio State University Medical Center on Monday, March 24, 2025. She was born in Newark, Ohio on February 1, 1942, to the late Bryan and Nellie (Litzinger) Woolard.
A graduate of Newark High School, Linda attended the American Institute of Banking and started her 25-year banking career with Newark Trust Company and became the first female branch manager in Licking County.
Linda took a 2-year sabbatical from banking and worked as a journalist/photographer at the Licking Countian Newspaper/The Good News Newspaper. She was recognized by the Ohio National Guard as a top ten reporter in Ohio for her coverage of guard training at Camp Grayling, Michigan. She
